Customer Reviews
Bonsai Farm, Hawthorn. has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 26 reviews on Google
It has horses, chickens and sheep and some other animals for kids to experience and see. The cafe is very busy at brunch time especially on the weekend. This is a good half day trip for people who do not want to travel far out to suburb country sides but still want to walk through farms.
An absolute privilege visiting this zen garden. Some pieces here rival those at The National Bonsai and Penjing Collection, National Arboretum in Canberra, and the Sydney Chinese Garden of Friendship 🏡 It was an even greater honour meeting Lindsay himself, who gave me some wise advice for maintenance. Their website also contains many study materials available for free download - what a public service! 🫡 Bonded with Lindsay over our mutual affinity with dogs - his 2 friendly and adorable ones greeted me at the entrance - they could probably pick up my dog’s scent on me 🤩🐾🐾 When I got home, my Jack Russell looked on approvingly at the 12 year-old Japanese Black Pine Bonsai that I brought back, suitable to cultivate for a "young Samurai" like myself as Lindsay described 🙏🏼
Popped in on Friday and had a juniper rewired, pruned and fertilised which was a privilege to watch. My husband and I felt inspired and couldn’t resist adding a Japanese Maple to our small collection. Very informative service and beautiful bonsai. Thank you for your time
I haven't spoken to the person who runs the nursery but clearly he's doing something different in here.
Large range of beautifully healthy trees in a wide variety of amazing pots. Super helpful service. Have purchased a bonsai from here and Lindsay has been most helpful around advice for pruning, repotting etc when I've gone back to ask questions.
⚠️ Beware of plants bought from here. Xanthomonas bacteria and Diplocarpon Rosae ⚠️
Travelled 2 hours (petrol prices atm,)to get here, was told to put a mask (we had none and weren't provided any) in an outdoor garden and was not specified on their website. I've been growing and looking after bonsai for 25 year's. And what I could tell from being there for 5 minutes before being told to leave, is they are massively over priced and would not spend money here. So disappointed as this place had good reviews. Not good enough, the masks you offered were used. should have masks at the entrance before walking in and as for your wife, if her condition is so bad maybe keep her away from the general public as you are selling to the public. No you did not PLEASE me and my family. Very rude And so overpriced i do not recommend this place sorry not sorry
