Great to see the planting being trialled for the upcoming development at the Arts Precinct. An interesting mix of native and exotic planting from similar climatic regions, in a shallow rooftop substrate. While it is a small test garden, it is very diverse, and already attracting a range of pollinators. Can't wait to see this implemented on a broader scale. Great if you're a plant lover, landscape designer, landscape architect, horticulturalist or gardener, but not if you're expecting a park or somewhere to have a picnic.
They are testing how lame they can make a garden. It's a nice idea, but so small and definitely not worth the trip. They need to up the lameness by 10% as people still seem to be going.
It’s not big, but it’s the start of bigger things, you can never have enough green-space among the concrete jungle of Melbourne I think!
