Bamboo Plus

Great experience We bought 23 pots of china gold bamboo in August 2024 to make a privacy screen. Got it delivered in 3 days. Went through the previous reviews where some of them complained about bamboo going dry. I think I talked to Mike about my concerns before spending a grand on plants. He just told me one thing-get a sprinkler water setup on automatic timer or make sure to water it every day. First 4 months we watered the plants 2 times a day and then got a sprinkler setup. Never had to worry about the plants anymore and they are thriving. In summers we setup the timer to go everyday for 15mins and in winter 3 times a week. Thank you team at bamboo plus.

Peter was so helpful in helping us purchase Gracilis bamboo and troughs to go with them. He helped us load 8 along with 2 troughs into our SUV. Mum and I just planted them today and they look amazing!! They have transformed my little yard. I’m looking forward to seeing them grow.

I bought 24 x Goldstripe Bamboo 300mm pots about a month ago, as I needed an instant screen from my neighbours. Mike was helpful with his advice as to which breed would suit my space. At planting time, I noticed they were extremely root bound , so much so that a few had absolutely no dirt left in them, just hardened knotted roots. I did mention this to Mike but he said they should be fine just make sure they are kept watered. I followed all instructions on the planting and watering of them as provided by Bamboo Plus. Unfortunately I had 5 die and a few are struggling. The ones doing well are the ones that had some dirt in the pot, but the very root bound ones are struggling. I gave 3 stars for the communication and delivery, but no stars for the quality. I've wasted a decent amount of money on dead bamboo.

The Team at Bamboo Plus gave great support in planning our Bamboo screen and working out the best value for money solution for our Bamboo screen. Interstate delivery was awesome, arrived on time, truck driver was wonderful in helping unload the 30 plants and 10 planter boxes. I can't recommend these guys enough, the end to end sales and support was brilliant. Some photos attached. The Bamboo has grown so fast!!! That difference was within 7 weeks!!

This seller takes no responsibility whatsoever, and after reading past reviews which I should have done before buying I would have stayed away. It seems a common response of his is that buyers don’t water their plants enough. I bought 4 mature plants planted on a Wednesday afternoon and by the following Wednesday as you can see by photos were completely dried out. I ensured I watered them every day until the soil was drenched and water pooled above. His response was to talk over me and tell me that I didn’t water them……. and I should have installed an irrigation system. These plants were not looking good after 3 days, in hindsight should have taken a photo to prove it to him. Unfortunately he is not interested in listening to you he shuts you down tells you he has years of experience and basically does not want to know about you after he has taken your money. My advice look around there are others who care a lot more about what they sell to you.

Planted our 2.8m gracilis bamboo we received to block out the house next door as it sits higher 😁👍 can't wait to see it grow and get bushy. Great service and quick delivery Mike organised a courier to deliver the plants as we our outside there delivery radius.. thank you very happy with the purchase 😀....looks heaps better 2 years later completely blocks off the view amazing 👏 😀 😉
