It's been a while since I've experienced authentic and homegrown customer service. Always met with a smile and tonnes of knowledge and suggestion, Lachlan and his staff are the quintessential meaning behind the word brilliance. This store has so much quality, design, and class, it makes me wonder how other stores manage to exist. From knives to axes to sharpening and products that you need to experience to appreciate, Phillip & Lea is a master-class of exactly how to run and operate a business in excellence and customer service. Bravo!

I discovered Phillip & Lea while hunting for Miellerie honey — which I usually source from Tasmania — and ended up uncovering so much more. Their range is beautifully curated: thoughtful, enduring, and quietly luxurious, from pantry staples to garden tools and bakeware built to last. I ordered Miellerie Honey, Billington’s Sugar and Pommery Cognac Mustard, and to my delight, Philip himself delivered the parcel — warm, prompt and clearly proud of what they offer. It’s rare to find an online store that balances craftsmanship, quality and personal service this well. I’ll be visiting soon to explore their garden tools in person — an exceptional find.

Most excellent customer service. Stock of high quality Japanese kitchen knives (amongst other things). And cherry on the cake - high quality sharpening of said Japanese kitchen knives. Have been back a few times now, cannot fault, can only praise.
