Such a lovely farm ❤️ Tips for optimal experience - kind reminder to leave dogs at home for the sake of farm animals and your own enjoyment. 🚭⛔️🐶 - save feed for a lot more chickens at the back to be satisfied. Chickens in the front had been fed too well🤣 - more cute goat kids at the back - If this is your first visit, allow for at least 1.5 hours stay at the farm for full exploration. Enjoy spending time interacting with the happy animals!
Visiting Edendale community environmental centre was lovely and educational. It’s a great setup and family friendly. There were quite a few school groups having an educational introduction in worm farming and composting. I wandered randomly seeing the chooks, goats, Guinea pigs, sheep and alpacas and admired the garden art features. I finished at the gift shop with so many nice things and bought a bag of organic apples. The cafe offers great and affordable drinks and foods, so I enjoyed my egg & chutney toasty before heading home. Thank you! 💖🌸
Fantastic community farm to bring toddlers and young kids. There are sheeps, goats, alpacas, chickens, Guinea pigs and horses here for the kids to interact. There is also a small community farm and a huge playground just behind the farm. It's a great place to spend the day with the kids. The Cafe food is also very good. Overall, a fantastic initiative by the council and the folks involved.
Edendale Community Environment Farm is the perfect place for a relaxing, educational family outing in Eltham. Entry is free (donations welcome), so it’s super accessible, and kids absolutely love feeding the chickens and meeting friendly farm animals like alpacas, goats, chicken and sheeps. The gardens are delightful with a spiral garden, shaded sandpit, and quirky recycled-art features that are great for little explorers. Cafe Eden is lovely for a snack or coffee with a view, and the lawns make a great spot for a picnic too. There’s ample parking onsite, and if that’s full, you can easily park at the nearby playground and walk across via the bridge. Recommend for a fun, green, and budget-friendly family day out.
Great place for all ages especially toddlers and above. Coffee was good at the little cafe. Limited menu for food.
Great outdoor area with Animals. Kids loved it and whole setup makes it so easy for kids to interact with animals. They have Goats, Sheep, Ducks, Chickens. They also have feeding stations which makes whole experience even better. Cafe onsite if you need coffee or food. Cleans toilets always come in handy. Lots of parking space available onsite. I was actually surprised it has free entry and you can do a coin donation. Loved it and surely coming back on my lazy weekends
