Went to the Belair national park nursery to find some ground covers. Emailed them a few days before going as we had a long list. They responded with what they had available so we knew what to look for. Gorgeous grounds, easy parking and friendly staff willing to help.
Ideal nursery for native plants. Well set out and easy to walk around. Wheel chair friendly. Serene atmosphere nestled in the national park. Entry is free if you mention this when entering the park. Staff are very helpful with information to assist and make good recommendations. Ok
It was a fantastic nursery previously My last couple of visits have been very poor stock and not great service. Terrible tubestock quality at $4.95 each with a twig in pot. I emailed them before this review with excuses given. Very disappointing. I suggest a drive to Tailem Bend and check out Brenton Tucker natives plants - wow and discount given when you buy multiples.
Great range of native plants, pretty much everything you could ever imagine or dream of, and staff are helpful with advice and information. Closes at 4pm most days. There is a little gift store as well that has lots of cool trinkets for gifts. If you’re just going to state flora entry into the park is free just mention to them at the gate house when you go in.
Potential to be amazing but our experience was very poor... 1. Plants in the ground covers were poor quality as they have been severely heat effected but not attended to... 2. Range was not great... better and in better condition at bunnings 3. Staff could not be bothered even to say hello or pretent to like their job. 4. Because of this, they were unapproachable to ask questions of. 5. It was expensive, with no price tags around, 6 plants, of which 2 were seedlings, $104... So disappointing... i had never been to the state flora nursery but thought what better place to go. So We travelled the 43km to visit as I want to plant a colourful native garden in my newly landscaped front yard... but it was so disappointing, and then I went to bunnings 10 minutes from home to ask my question... never again....
Excellent place for tube stock of native plants. Plenty of other plants too, but that's what I go for
Excellent native nursery with a massive selection.
