Bunnings Bayswater
📍 Plant nurseries in Bayswater
Bunnings Bayswater stands out as a one-stop shop for all home improvement needs, offering an extensive range of products under one roof. The nursery section, in particular, is a highlight, with knowledgeable staff like Victoria providing excellent advice on plants and seedlings. The store is praised for its supportive and patient staff, who go above and beyond to assist customers, making it a go-to destination for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals.
While the store excels in product variety and low prices, there are areas for improvement, such as consistent customer service and better stock management. Ensuring adequate staffing at self-service checkouts and addressing safety concerns, like sharp star pickets, would enhance the overall shopping experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, Bunnings Bayswater remains a top choice for quality home improvement solutions.

A big thank you to the team at Bunnings Bayswater. I was left with an unfinished project by my late husband, and the staff were incredibly kind and supportive. They helped me choose all the right materials and guided me through completing the renovation beautifully. I truly appreciate their patience and kindness during this time. 💛
Carissa T’s customer service was fantastic. Our handheld shower stopped working after 3 months, and she went above and beyond for us. She was great at communicating and assisted me in having a plumber fix the issue and reimbursing us for the plumber. When I went in to hand in the old parts she even gave my daughter a teddy bear. Exceptional customer service, thank you Carissa!
Bunnings is definitely the go-to place for all your home improvement needs you can find pretty much everything under one roof, which is super convenient. That said, the one major downside I’ve experienced is the inconsistent customer service. It’s often hard to get reliable help, and different staff members give completely different answers for the same product or question. This can be really frustrating when you’re trying to make an informed decision on something specific. Overall, the huge range and low prices keep me coming back, but better staff training and more consistent advice would make the experience much better. This version stays concise, balanced (acknowledging the positives like the "one-stop shop" aspect, which aligns with Bunnings’ reputation in Australia), and constructive. It highlights the key issue you mentioned without sounding overly negative.
Watch the Star pickets! I receieved a deep laceration to my index finger after touching the end of one of their star pickets which had razor sharp burs on its end. First-aid was provided in store however I ended up getting stitches at a medical centre for my trouble. I sure hope they have addressed the in-store risk a sorted better quality from their supplier.
Had a very helpful experience at the Bayswater Bunnings Nursery with Victoria, she is so knowledgeable and helped me with my plant and flower seedlings for our new home in the area. I ask a lot of questions and Victoria took them all in her stride and was more than happy to help me with great advice. Also helped me with my Bamboo needs. Happy and cheery manner, thank you Victoria...Cheers, Jenni 🌺
Get 1 more staff member at all times to man the self service check outs. This goes for Bunnings Bayswater, Vermont or Scoresby I always have to queue, and the self serve checkouts are often closed. Today I wanted 10 minutes to get a spray pack of paint, cos the paint shop was too busy, and when I asked someone else the tried the radio, and still no one came. It's pretty rubbish You make a squillilion dollars a day, have absolute market monopoly, are the most profitable part of Westfarmers and you treat customers like absolute crap. Not good enough. Get better. The ACCC needs to dig deeper here, and encourage more competition, cos you guys sometimes seriously suck.
Was yelled at by an employee because she thought I walked a closed off aisle. When she realised I didnt there was no apology or anything and when I gave her look she became sarcastic. I have neurological disorders. And being yelled at gives me ptsd. Constantly out of stock. And I mean constantly. Going on 2 weeks without course or paver sand. Had only one form of short axe. Had no market umbrellas left under 100 dollars. Lastly. The complete lack of native garden supplies is embarassing.
