Kmart Ashfield

Good, cheap items but the sales dude in the front was acting hormonal. We (very politely) asked for assistance at the counter and he slammed our drink on the counter. We didnt have the time to ask for his manager or complain since we were rushing so we thought to just leave a review. Dude probably hates his job. Happened on December 06 at 08:12 PM

When I work on Christmas Eve or other holidays and it gets busy, I never treat customers the way people were treated here. Don’t get me wrong, the guys working at the cash/card machines were great and very helpful. However, the lady at the front called another staff member to help me find a container, and this person was the worst attendant I’ve ever dealt with. Once I got what I needed and was waiting in the queue to pay, I saw her yelling at another customer. Hire employees like the boys over the counter, because this lady clearly does not know how to handle a busy shop. I will not be coming back. Cheers

Came specifically to this Kmart as it said it stocked a metal stationary trolley online and it was available in store. When asked as we could not find on the floor, a very kind customer assistant helped us. While waiting, the manager mentioned that yes it was in stock at the back, but it hadn’t been processed - extremely rude and condescending tone towards myself and other customers. Therefore, we were instructed we have to wait until Monday to purchase this item. Why would you advertise online that it was available for in-store collection yet they couldn’t be bothered to put it on the floor and take one item out of the back where it was waiting to be sold. To get around this loophole , we actually just placed a click and collect order for same day meaning they would have to go and ‘process’ the order. I think they were shocked to see us waiting for it. Do better and be smarter 😧 Two stars for the lovely customer assistant on the floor!

Always has more stock than other Kmarts in my area, as well as neat and tidy. Special thanks to Sofia for helping with my shopping, helping me find everything i needed. 😊

Worst customer service. A middle age women with blonde hair was very rude and disrespect towards a few customers at the store. Came up to me and a few customers and said we can't be looking at stuff which are on the crates but I already got permission from staff and they said was fine. She grabbed my bag and emptied everything out and she also did it to another customer next to me. What gives them the right to touch other people's belongings. With that kind of attitude she shouldn't be working in customer service at all she should go work somewhere where she doesn't have to deal with customers. Im surprised she still has a job with Kmart with the way she treats customers. I hope head office will do something about her otherwise she will continue to be rude and disrespectful to customers and it's not a good look for Kmart.

Reading these reviews was very validating, to know I'm not the only one to find the lady (larger, ponytail with ribbons, colourful makeup) standing at the front of the store very rude! I went in store tonight to pick up a click and collect. I wanted to grab a few more things so I went to go and grab a trolley. I asked one of the workers, who told me I needed a coin. I told her I didn't have a coin, and asked if I should ask the lady standing by the checkouts to help me out. When worker 1 asked *rude lady* she kept repeating 'she doesn't have a coin?', and then aggressively used her token to unlock one for me. She made sure I knew it was her 'personal' one from Amazon, and that they don't give out trollies for free, and to bring a coin next time. I won't need a coin 'next time', because I won't be doing any big shops at this Kmart again! A shame, because it's a neat and well stocked store, she has just ruined it for me. I acknowledge the trollies need a coin, but she made me feel like a criminal when I was simply wanting a trolley so I could buy more from them! As I was checking out, the girls at the register next to me were also complaining about this lady, saying she's always rude to them. How are you having someone with no customer service skills at the front of the store?! Maybe consider placing her somewhere else, or training her on how to communicate respectfully with customers!
