We just completed a full backyard renovation with the help of Dave and the rest of the Abelia team and we couldn't be happier with the transformation. The quality of the work was very high and it was completed in a timely manner. Dave shuffled things around to meet some short deadlines we had and always went the extra mile to keep us happy. He was punctual and professional and I couldn't recommend him highly enough!

Dave and his team at Abelia Gardens have done some wonderful work on my back yard. From consulting on soil type and condition, plumbing, excavating and leveling, turfing, paving, garden edging, decking, overall design and planting schemes, these guys are highly skilled and professional. They have come up with versatile and attractive design options and great solutions to unforeseen problems. Dave is an old-school honest and down to earth guy who is willing to go the extra mile for his customers which is rare these days. All this and affordable too! I will definitely be a return customer. Used Abelia Gardens to fully landscape our back and front yards after constructing a new house. The office staff were very friendly and helpful in planning our design, and always very quick to respond to enquiries. All of the labourers who completed the work were an absolute delight to chat with during the day. Very happy with the end result.

Great company, would recommend them for anything you are looking to do. I really appreciated David's honesty, when he came over to quote, he was very upfront about options to redo the coping around our pool. I had been quoted 25k plus from others but David's solution meant it cost a fraction of that and it looks much better. Truly put the customer first and came up with solutions to save money and have an amazing outcome.

Dave and the team at Abelia recently transformed a part of our yard in Artarmon into an entertaining deck and play area with a retaining wall. Dave is a down to earth local who has years of experience around landscaping so has seen it all. Dave and Darren take pride in their work and this reflects in the results. The communication is great and you are kept updated when things are happening or deliveries arriving. I would definitely recommend Abelia be considered for your landscaping work.

Initially thought David was the rainman of landscaping. That was quickly corrected when he came and started what was approximately 100k job and I paid an initial instalment after the first phase which was ground test holes. After doing these he disappeared for 6 months with zero contact and then when he finally replied saying he was sick but still working just not continuing with my job which was news to me. I spent the next 2 months trying to get the results of the ground holes or get a refund of what I had paid. After threatening to go to the office of fair trading he returned my money. A total waste of 8 months of my life and advise anyone to stay away from this guy.

Had a material amount of work done including fencing, pathing, hedge planting and concrete cutting/removal all done reasonably well. Have then paid a deposit for a driveway gate which was initially delayed due to the 2021 lockdowns. David has since been completely non-responsive regarding either completing the works or a refund (ignoring messages and calls). I note this seems to be occurring to others - so not really sure what has happened to the business but you will face a risk of having to chase for your money back or for work to actually be done (I have had to lodge a complaint with Fair Trading so still have lots of fun ahead...)
