Failed a subject because they wanted to double up my fees. Was told that they couldn't pass me for my subject, despite my HD performance in my mid-semester Test and group assignments, my exam was perfectly fine, but they 'had to fail a certain amount of people', I was 'randomly selected' to fail. Why do they 'have to fail' people? Money of course - me having to re-do the subject meant they doubled up on that subject's course fees. Where does that money go? Who knows? My entire second year, they closed down the entire building's computer lab (this was JUST before everybody carried a laptop 24/7), promising 'revolutionary upgrades'. Nothing was upgraded, they just gave the room a vacuum. Despite the fact that I last attended RMIT over a decade ago, I still receive phone calls, text messages, emails and even letters every three months or so, requesting I make a donation for my time there. There is no unsubscribe button on these emails, despite the fact that I have actually changed my email multiple times since I left there (RMIT is not the reason I changed my email), have moved houses multiple times in the past decade (I have no clue how they keep tracking me down) and I can't block the phone numbers they come from, as everytime they come from a different phone number.

If you’re thinking about studying the Diploma of Building at RMIT, please be careful. My experience was honestly terrible. I had Samir Khalaf for Applied Structural Principles, and although he kept saying he was an engineer, he barely taught anything in class. For the entire 6 months I was in his class, I don’t remember him answering even one of my questions properly. Most of the time I was told to "figure it out yourself," which defeats the whole purpose of being in a classroom. What made things worse was how differently he treated students. Some people got help instantly, others were completely ignored. For me, it felt like I wasn’t getting any support at all, which made the whole learning environment unfair and stressful. I tried contacting RMIT many times to fix these issues, but nothing changed. After months of trying to get help, I finally gave up and decided to leave the program altogether. This was easily one of my most disappointing study experiences. RMIT really needs to review the quality of teaching and take student concerns seriously, because no student should be left feeling this unsupported. Mussa Yawari

I have supported my client at RMIT for quite a while now. I find my client feels very interested in your courses more and more as time goes on and he attends all classes on time. This has been such an amazing transformation in his life ! I would like to say thank you to lecturer Meray Abba who guided him and made the amazing difference for him to be able to achieve his goals, my client loves your classes and looks forward to every lecture.. Universities are widely regarded as institutions that uphold academic integrity, ethical responsibility, freedom of expression, and respect for human rights. However a Senior Research Fellows, Mr. Ahmad Mojiri publicly endorsed and legitimized state-imposed censorship in a context of documented violence. He publicly endorsed the treatment of the IRGC on Iranian people. Shame on you for being ok with this!

Enrolment process is appalling for a supposedly fantastic university it was horrible 3 years ago and its no better now. They need someone who is competent to redesign the system. Clearly mo money injected into making it work

Infrastructure is a really nice, Teachers are very supportive and education system is also very nice. Great infra. Great Faculty. Great Environment...I've graduated from here. The graduate ceremony was splendid!
