AKAS Landscape Architecture

We appreciate the way Anthony has transformed the open spaces of our house. We enjoyed working with him and his team, and love the end result. A couple of quick before and after shots:

Our townhouse had a small courtyard with grey pavers, that looked bland and uninteresting. Our only view was a wooden fence with a narrow retaining wall that some basic plants in it see from our living and kitchen area. We wanted a peaceful green outlook to integrate the outside area with our inside space. We contracted AKAS to fulfil this brief and we have been blown away with the end result. They understood the challenges of our small outside space. AKAS recommended a low maintenance vertical wall garden immediately outside our kitchen eating area with an adjacent self sufficient rainforest rockpool pond infront of our living room window. This consolation process included well documented and accurate plans with full transparency and the costings were within our advised budget. We found AKAS to be professional, knowledgeable and creative in their collaboration with us. Anthony and Alistair have a unique ascetic and approach to their profession and think out of the box with creativity to find solutions. The final outcome upon completion was exactly what we wanted and we have been thoroughly delighted with our outside space. Its our tranquility!!

I highly recommend Akas landscape architecture. The guys exceeded my expectations of what my garden could actually look like. From what I thought was a tiny awkward unusable space to an absolute oasis in my eyes. With an area that is tucked away behind my house that was never used is now one of my favourite areas and I constantly sit there or pace up and down in amazement of what it really is now. I cant wait to invite the guys back to design my front garden next so the the entire neighbourhood can enjoy what i get to enjoy in my rear garden everyday. Anthony and Alistair fulfilled our brief of having an inviting, low maintenance, functional garden and planting which provides year-round colour. We came in with a blank canvas and they gave us great ideas for a beautiful backyard sanctuary and a unique Australian native front garden. They worked excellently within our budget and were helpful in providing flexible options such as presenting alternative designs, plants, methods and materials that are more affordable but carried similar effect. We love spending time in what AKAS produced as our backyard garden and being able to bring in flowers and herbs for use in the home. We highly recommend AKAS landscape for garden design- they are passionate about their work, thorough, detail oriented and accommodated to our specific needs.

We had an excellent experience doing our landscape design with AKAS. They spent a lot of time with us discussing what we wanted and answering any questions. We were given a very detailed concept design and 3D render. After that we had further discussions and worked with them to make some changes to the design. When it came time to doing the landscaping work, AKAS was at our site working with our landscapers and making sure everything was as specified. We are very happy with our garden. It turned out exactly as agreed in the design.

Anthony & Alistair designed a garden for us that ticked all the boxes - aesthetics, functionality, and was low maintenance. We trusted their decision-making throughout the process, and they were happy to accommodate any changes we requested. The contractors they employed were also highly professional and all in all it was a great experience from start to finish.

We are very satisfied with our 'oasis' garden that AKAS created for us. Our small back yard has been transformed from a hard surfaced, hot box to a cooling urban mini jungle. The design process was very collaborative to ensure that the design suited our needs and budget. The contractors that AKAS organised for our job were professional, prompt with excellent landscaping skills. I would highly recommend AKAS.
