Sanders Reserve

📍 Landscapers in Burwood

7.7

Sanders Reserve in Burwood offers a family-friendly environment with a small, fully fenced playground featuring a flying fox, swings, and a climbing gym with slides. The park also includes a dog-friendly off-leash area, making it convenient for pet owners to enjoy with their children. While the park is generally clean and well-maintained, there are opportunities for improvement, such as adding more playground equipment and seating areas for picnics.

The park is known for its quiet atmosphere, ideal for leisurely walks with pets. However, visitors should be aware of occasional issues with poorly socialized dogs and the need for better fence maintenance. Overall, Sanders Reserve provides a pleasant space for families and pets, with potential for further enhancements to elevate the experience.

Quiet place to take your dog for a walk.Wuth a little playground for kids, this park is really suitable for families w/ pet as you can tag along a dog w/you while spending time w/your kids.Hoping they will put up more slides or swings to it,it will be just perfect or benches or shed and a bbq thingy so families can bring their food and have a little picnic in there too.And best of all,it always clean:-)

This park is absolutely terrible, I am a frequent goer to this park and I can say from my own personal experience how rubbish this park is. The park is littered with dog feces everywhere as well as rubbish, I have witnessed alcoholics and drug addicts hanging around the park at night time, which consequently leads to sharp broken glass and sharp syringes littered in the children’s playground by the next morning, this is a serious ongoing problem even to this current day and will most likely continue at this rate unless the council takes serious action to clean the park. Children’s safety and dog friendliness is at an all time low, specifically, the owner of house 39 on Oxford street right opposite the park has several times physically assaulted my dog as well as several children at the playground and somehow he is not behind bars and still looming around the park daily. Do not judge the past reviews as this park was once a thriving haven of natural beauty, however this park has sadly succumbed to a great downfall, marred by the neglectful maintenance practices of the council. The echos of its former brilliance now fade in the shadow of deterioration.

All good. The off leash area is great but council needs to fix the gaps under the fence. Also beware, some owners have very poorly socialised dogs and let them run, causing injuries to other smaller dogs

Sanders Reserve presents a paradoxical environment. On one hand, the park boasts friendly neighbors, while on the other, there are instances of children being assaulted by park-goers. Additionally, the park suffers from neglect, evident in its pervasive dirtiness, caused by children kicking debris from the playground around. This results in an unpleasant walking experience, as sharp objects penetrate shoes. Disturbingly, the park becomes a battleground during water balloon fights among middle-aged men, leading to concerns of safety for both participants and onlookers. Furthermore, the park seems to attract undesirable elements at night, with reports of homeless individuals, and drug dealers loitering. Their activities involve throwing alcohol bottles, creating hazards for children who visit the park the following day. My personal experience of attending this public reserve/park are disheartening picture, highlighting the need for attention and improvement.
