We bought tickets to a Fringe festival here for the weekend we came for a visit - it was a huge turnout and well designed. The botanical gardens are always very lovely to walk through though, as I've been here many times over the years as I come to visit family in Adelaide. It is beautiful all year round!
The Adelaide Botanic Gardens are a must see when you are visiting the city. They are definitely one of the best Botanic gardens I have ever seen. The gardens are quite big and there are many different areas to explore. You will find a variety of plants, wetlands, palm house, cactus gardens, rose garden and much more. Take your time exploring. There is also a cafe and bathroom facilities in the gardens. Well worth a visit.
Absolutely gorgeous. Such a peaceful place among a city, so we'll set out and so much to see. So happy I went. It is a place you could spend hours and hours. There are free tours, at certain times. I think the last one was 12pm.
Our 1st time visit to this Botanic Gardens. Spacious and peaceful. Many variety of plants around the world, not just local Australian plants. We can see wild life wondering around the gardens. Come across a fig tree planted in 1866. Best enjoyed when you have full day to explore and relax. Highly recommend for people who enjoy space and tranquility.
Adelaide Botanic Garden is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The gardens are perfectly maintained with a huge variety of plants, flowers, and trees from around the world. The landscapes, glasshouses, and walking paths make it a great spot for photography, relaxing walks, or just enjoying nature in the middle of the city. I especially loved the Palm House and the Waterlily Pavilion — both are stunning and unique. The garden feels very calm, clean, and well-organised. It’s a great place for families, tourists, and anyone who enjoys nature and fresh air. Would definitely recommend spending a few hours here.
Beautiful place. I hadn't visited for a while and took international visitors. They loved it. I had forgotten how gorgeous it was. The old glass greenhouse is my favourite. Absolutely stunning.
The Adelaide Botanic Garden really is such a beautiful spot right in the middle of the city, and right now it’s even better with a special photography exhibition on in the conservatory. It’s the perfect place to unwind, wander around, and take in all the greenery, then duck into the big conservatory to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year shots mixed in with all the tropical plants. The glasshouses are stunning, especially the old Palm House, and the rose garden pretty much always looks amazing, but the exhibition adds this extra little "wow" with a heap of incredible wildlife photos from all over the world. You can easily spend a couple hours just strolling along the paths, checking out the plants, getting distracted by the photos and reading the little stories under them, or just flopping on the lawns with a coffee after. It’s one of those places that always feels calm and sort of reset-your-brain, and with the photography show only on for a limited time, it’s definitely worth trying to catch it while it’s there. Now, it’s not as nice as the one in Sydney or Melbourne or Singapore - but…still wonderful - check it out!
