Big spot buried along the Southbank strip. Has plenty of life and seating areas/barbeque areas. Seems like a tranquil spot to bring some takeaway too or just chill out with the family. Quite an extensive garden too with many colourful trees and flowers. Worth the visit.

Tucked into the South Bank Parklands, Epicurious Garden is a wonderful surprise — part community garden, part edible education space, and all heart. It’s small, but beautifully maintained by passionate volunteers who clearly care about what they do. There’s a great mix of herbs, veggies, and fruiting plants growing in well-laid-out beds, and plenty of signage for those curious about what’s what. If you’re lucky and time your visit right, there’s even a fresh produce stand where they give away herbs or veggies for free — a lovely gesture and a true community spirit. It’s peaceful, fragrant, and surprisingly calming for a spot in the middle of the city. Kids love exploring the garden paths, and green thumbs will find inspiration in the seasonal planting and clever use of space. 🌿 Tip: Check the opening hours if you’re hoping to chat with volunteers or grab produce — they’re usually there a few mornings a week. A refreshing, grounding little space that reminds you how good things grow with care and community.

Great place! I like to walk around the garden and see the different herbs and trees. It feels peaceful and I get inspiration for my dinner or lunch. Perfect place to teach children about nature and basics of cuisine. They can learn about so many herbs, veggies and fruit trees. They can see them, feel them, and smell them!

Really cool park with bunch of different plants from pomegranate to curry. Most are neatly labeled. On certain days you can try out the harvest. Certain plants like stevia I was able to take a small piece, like half a fingernail, to taste... That was plenty sweet! In the middle is a statue of Confucius. Great place to educate kids on different plants.

Gorgeous spot on the river. Always nice to see what's growing this season. Tuesdays and Thursdays there is a cart with free vegetables and herbs of the harvest
