This is a very impressive food and produce market. Lots of food selections and a significant amount of Gluten Free food/produce available. Children love the pancakes and waffles, my wife is a big fan of the matcha and the gluten free bread and açai. Coffee and fresh orange juice is a winner. Market is very dog friendly and stall holders go out of their way to make sure dogs have water and get the odd treat. Some covering if it rains and right next to the lake which the children love to play in, even if raining. We are regular visitors here now!

Came here for ShenYun which was amazing! Ample parking, tons of friendly staff everywhere, extra security due to the bomb threat kept us at ease. Lots of places do a drink, coffee and to eat and a lovely big theatre!

We had the pleasure of visiting HOTA yesterday to see the Ken Done Exhibition. (31 January 2026). The exhibition was spectacular and had so many beautiful artworks and paintings completed by artist Ken Done. The HOTA staff were very helpful and friendly. The gift shop also had a great selection of various items to purchase at reasonable prices. On one of the female staff member’s recommendations we went to the top floor cafe/restaurant called "Exhibition". The service was excellent and the food was delicious and affordable too. Even better were the outstanding, spectacular views over Surfers Paradise. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon. Nerida Kingsford 01/02/26

Absolutely loved visiting HOTA Gallery on the Gold Coast. The space is modern, beautifully designed, and really well laid out. The exhibitions are diverse and inspiring, with something for everyone whether you’re into contemporary art or more classic styles. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the views from the top level are amazing. It’s such a great spot to spend a few hours, take it all in, and just appreciate creativity. Definitely one of the best cultural experiences on the Goldy. Highly recommend checking it out! 🎨✨

Beautiful building Start at the top for the fantastic views. Then walk down each floor to examine a variety of art works. Enjoyed woodworking and natural decor. Lovely chapel in the parking area and a walk to the lake can provide a swim!

Hadn't visited the permanent exhibitions for a while, so we chose a rainy day to view the new galleries. Although the feature artist was Ken Done at HOTA, I was more drawn to the gallery with impressive horse paintings. Beautiful large paintings from artist Nicole Slater that has a strong connection to horses. If you have a love for horses definitely worth a (free!) visit.

Wonderful free museum experience and a welcome change of pace from the Gold Coast's beach scene. The gallery's distinctive, colourful architecture makes it a landmark in itself. The gallery spans six levels, showcasing a significant collection of Australian art. However, the best feature might be the view: head straight to the rooftop bar for a panoramic photo of the city, looking out over the Nerang River and Surfers Paradise. The entire HOTA precinct is accessible and great for exploring on foot, with beautiful parklands and a sculpture walk around the lake. It's easy to get here, either by enjoying a scenic walk or conveniently taking the HOPO ferry directly to the grounds.
