Bumbles Café

Came here for brunch and loved it. Coffee was great, pretty standard cafe offerings but the atmosphere was amazing. It has lots of little separate private areas, back patio, inside or out the front overlooking the water. Soo peaceful considering how close it is to the high rises of surfers

The aesthetic is eclectic and absolutely gorgeous. Ordered ham & cheese croissant and a honey iced match, everything looked and tasted lovely. Very busy time, our group only had about 1hr to sit because there were bookings everywhere, so definitely plan ahead and book if you go on a weekend.

One of the best coffees I have ever had! We came here after being recommended by hotel concierge. The staff were delightful and so helpful. Food was absolutely delicious to the extent we booked again for the next day. Couldn’t recommend more. Great food, coffee, staff, and atmosphere. Super quirky and aesthetic vibes.

Such a gorgeous gem! Food was amazing, service was great and the interior is stunning — love the fresh flowers and how cozy it is. Would 100% return again as the food was delicious and the cakes are delightful.

Almost didn’t go to Bumbles because of the negative reviews - So glad we gave it a go. Great food, Great Coffee, friendly attentive service. So many interesting decorated rooms and spaces to eat in. Nice outdoor area with water views. Will definitely be back……..

The bad reviews must be a few one offs as we went to bumbles several times during our stay at Gold Coast and never had a bad experience despite it being busy in peak season. Friendly service easy to order on the QR code and food service was good. Great location. Great cafe.

⭐ 1 Star I visited The Blue House at Budds Beach after reading the Inside Gold Coast "best bug rolls" feature and seeing the promotional photos. What was served was nothing like what is advertised. For $19, I received a burnt bun, one small piece of bug, and a single leaf of lettuce. There was no generous filling, no balance of flavour, and no attention to presentation. The portion of seafood was minimal to the point of being unacceptable for the price. The advertised image shows a well-filled, premium seafood roll. What arrived at the table was sparse, poorly constructed, and visibly inferior. The bun was burnt on one side and dry. The filling was so limited it felt misleading. At nearly twenty dollars, customers should reasonably expect quality, value, and consistency with what is promoted publicly. This did not meet any of those standards. I have attached a photo comparison so others can make their own assessment. Extremely disappointing experience.
