Sydney Tools Parafield

Be very careful buying from Sydney Tools. They have found a way to circumvent Australian Consumer Law and not have to give any refunds, even if the product is not fit for purpose or of merchantable quality. They will rudely tell you that there is no refund and laugh in your face, saying you should have done more research. Will never shop there again.

Asked in store if a product would work the way I intended - staff member said yes. Bought the item, took it to work, product does not work as intended. Store manager Giovanni? was rude and difficult as usual, should have remembered. And just generally argumentative and time wasting. As he says though, its company policy - no returns. Really need to remember not to shop here.

Do not buy from Sydney Tools, here is why; was sold a spool gun for my MIG, take it home and it does not fit, returned it and guess what they do not accept return, period. Now he is asking $200 more to give me the correct one! go figure. Their prices are not better than competitors and customer service is awful. Never again will shop there. They don't even deserve one star!

Visited the Parafield store today and had a very disappointing experience. I returned shortly after purchase (less than an hour after arriving home) because the item was clearly faulty and not fit for its intended purpose, but the store manager refused a refund, claiming it was not in "original condition" because it had been opened and did not look like it did when packaged, and that their company policy does not allow returns. I was also told this had nothing to do with Australian Consumer Law. It sounded as though their store policy overrides consumer rights, which is very concerning. Very poor handling of a legitimate consumer issue and an unprofessional attitude from management. This would likely have been handled very differently at other tool retailers.

Very poor experience with Sydney Tools in general. I phoned up Sydney Tools Windsor Gardens (SA) to check to see if they had a two part tool trolley that was on special & they confirmed that they had it in stock. When I arrived they only had the display model & this was dented & scratched in multiple places. They weren't prepared to discount it for the damage, so I asked if any other stores had it in stock close by & only Parafield had two in stock, supposedly in boxes. Travelled to Parafield & waited over half an hour for the staff to look for the product that they have already confirmed they had in stock. In the end they couldn't find the stock then suggested that I order one that would take four to six weeks from their own Sydney Tools warehouse. At this point I decided to purchase elsewhere as the service was so terrible. A massive waste of my only day off!

Buy tools on Wednesday. 2 of them failed next day . Return on Friday. No replacement just a whole lot of paperwork and I still don't have replacement of 1 item over a week later. Terrible policy. Do not buy from this store. Useless

Disappointing service. Their staff needs training. Ordered a tool online and they called me saying the tool wasn't going to come in for a while, the staff member said I could cancel it so I did and bought the tool else where. They still ordered the tool and I said can't return it! Now I got two of the same tool ffs.
