Bunnings Northmead

Bunnings Northmead is one of those stores where you go in for one small thing and end up spending an hour exploring. The store is huge and well-organised, with everything from gardening, home improvement, timber, tools, plants, outdoor furniture, and even a little gift section. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, though sometimes it takes a bit of time to find someone in certain sections like plumbing or electrical. The gardening section is my favourite – always well stocked, with fresh plants and good seasonal deals. I once got great advice from a staff member about choosing low-maintenance indoor plants, and it actually worked for me! Parking is usually easy, though weekends can get a bit busy. Their click-and-collect system is quite smooth, and I’ve had no issues with returns or exchanges. The little sausage sizzle on weekends adds a nice touch and gives that classic Bunnings feel. Overall, it’s a reliable place for DIY, home projects, or just browsing for ideas. Not perfect, but definitely one of the better Bunnings stores in Sydney.

I visited Bunnings Northmead and had a great shopping experience. Farrokh was very helpful and patient, taking the time to explain everything I needed to know and offering excellent advice. I’m very happy with the customer service and would definitely recommend this store.

I had an issue with a purchase I needed help with resolving. Jodie who I met over the phone was so helpful and quick to resolve my issue. Having tradespeople at my house already working on the project, this really meant a lot. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was dealt with on the spot, managing between different people and even locations. I can’t thank Jodie enough for her help!

A few days ago, we popped in Bunnings Northmead to buy a bathroom shower head but we couldn't find it anywhere. We asked one of the staffs, Faroukh, and he was absolutely lovely. He took time to look around and eventually tracked it down for us. He spend over 10 minutes helping us out. This exactly the kind of great customer service we expect from Bunnings.

Placed an online order Tuesday 17 February. Delivery timeframe was Wednesday - Friday. I arranged my week to be at home on Thursday & Friday. With no delivery notification like "delivering tomorrow" the item was delivered Wednesday morning at 8am. Why do you need a 3 day delivery window? Complete and utter incompetence! Order W280445803-1

Ridiculous checkout experience on a consistent basis Everyone gets to line up at the service and returns desk blocking other customers from walking around. Went to to a guy at the register only to be told he wasn't open yet, walk over to the line at the desk to be told register 1 is now opening. Meanwhile all the self serve checkouts are ok n, but roped off. Yet there is someone that I then have to steer my heavy trolley over to to check my receipt. Appalling experience every time.
