Boardwalk Cafe

Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner and had a wonderful time. It exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious with generous portions. Service was attentive. They really put alot of effort to make the place look lovely for Valentine’s Day. Will definitely go back.

My cousin and her partner had come from the UK to surprise my Mum who will be turning 90 on November 28th. We had arranged a surprise lunch for Mum at the Boardwalk Cafe where she saw her niece for the first time in nearly 20 years!! A huge Thank You to all the staff who made this possible for us. We all enjoyed our meals, drinks and coffees. The staff are always friendly, helpful, polite and attentive to our requests. Thank you for making this occasion so memorable for us.

Visited multiple times when travelling through and loved the experience every time. Staff are very friendly. It gets busy sometimes but the atmosphere makes you prefer the wait. Gorgeous scenery. Very peaceful. Great, calming energy. Food is lovely, variety is nice. I especially loved the cake and pastry collection. Tiramisu latte is SO good if ur in the mood for a sweet, caffeine pick me up. Otherwise the regular coffees are delicious too.

Food is ok. A bit expensive. $30 for a burger and chips doesn’t come with a drink. The only good thing about this place is the view. So peaceful. We sat outside under the tree and the sun was shining. It was a beautiful day. Still, food was a little expensive for size comparison. Now that I’ve been there I wouldn’t go back. It’s dog friendly so that’s a big plus if you’re out walking the dog and just want to stop for a coffee this place would be great for it.

I hate writing negative reviews. And I will still praise most of the servers as they were lovely. (Except one) A family member politely mentioned to one of the ladies that my food was too salty (because I feel bad sending food back) but she didn’t really care, nodded and just walked away. This was the only server who didn’t provide good service, the rest were lovely. I feel like I wasted $30 on the salt and pepper calamari. It was the saltiest thing I have ever tasted in my life, granted yes it’s salt and pepper but it was INSANELY salty. The batter was basically made of only salt. Had to give it to my brother to finish and I left hungry. The seats with the holes also bruised me badly. This is what topped it off and had to write a review so hopefully you can be aware to make adjustments. The atmosphere is nice, but sadly, won’t be coming back. I was considering having my wedding here but not anymore. Not if the food is like that. Also hardly any menu options with too many options for seniors only.

Dined in for brekkie today. I sat inside and was very glad I did because the air con was perfect. I ordered the Ham and Cheese omelette with extra bacon plus a large coffee aswell. The coffee was devine, very smooth and tasty. The omelette only took around 10-15 minutes to be delivered, super satisfied. Very large portion and couldn't finish the meal. Lovely view of the lake from inside. Alise was very hospitable and polite.

We did wait at the entrance to be seated for up to 10 minutes we were noticed by staff but not acknowledged by staff. I told the young girl that I had a booking ? She said just take a seat any where so we did. The table was not wiped down and the utensils were dirty. Our drinks came out one by one which I thought was very strange.My husband’s drink came out in a take away container but my daughter’s drink was in glass odd again as we were dining in not taking away. The meals did come out together and were quite quick. All the staff were very young no smiles or customer service ? Not the best breakfast I wouldn’t go there again.
