This is at the entry into the Briars Nature reserve & walking trails that pass through the wetlands. Toilets are only located here. Some undercover seating here too & with the light rain on 21/9/25 - the cacophony of the pobble bonk frogs nearby was the background symphony! This is also an education centre cum gift shop with plants for sale. The community market is held just past this centre. Check Craft Market Australia website for dates or pick up an events flyer here as well as tourism pamplets for Mornington area. Check out the glass tanks with skinks, long necked turtles & the amazing long distance migratory eels in the Balcombe creek here - make their way to north Queensland to breed!
What a great find so close to town. Went for a long walk. Saw Grey Kangaroos. Wallabies and 4 Emu's. Oh, and plenty of birds.
Definitely worthy for a driving there at night
Good place to enjoy the wildlife
