Coles Merrylands

This review is specifically about one staff member, I believe her name is Enna, but also possibly could be Emma if I read it incorrectly. She is lovely. She always greets everyone at self checkout with a smile and a kind word, it honestly makes me feel like I have an attentive and friendly waitress at a nice restaurant. I have witnessed her politely and professionally deal with an irate old man who had decided something he had already paid for was too expensive. He was confused and angry, and she dealt with it perfectly and calmly. On a seperate occasion, an older woman was upset there was no full service checkout available. I admit this was strange, but obviously not Enna's fault in any way. Enna kindly bagged all of this lady's groceries herself, while also helping multiple other customers including myself when the self checkout inevitably freezes and locks up. She is fantastic and deserves recognition.

My experiences with the Click and Collect service at Coles Merrylands have been consistently disappointing. The primary issue seems to stem from poor organization and inadequate staffing. Orders are frequently delayed, and on several occasions, items have been missing or substituted without proper notification. This lack of attention to detail suggests a systemic problem within the management of the Click and Collect department.

Amazing place where you can find everything of daily use. All groceries. I did some shopping and that was incredible experience

Coles in merrylands stocklands is one of my favourite stores, much better than woolworths merrylands. Unlike woolies, these guys actually care & have decent checkouts, they are not packing shelves at peak hour, the store is much more spacious. The self service scan checkouts are a game changer.

They don’t have staffs for packing online orders I guess. I had to cancel my order after 2 hrs of waiting to get my orders packed! Still no sign of getting my orders packed and had to cancel.

Staff here are nice, but the quality of the produce is often poor. They really need to refrigerate their fresh produce like broccoli, cabbages, cucumbers, watermelon and papaya as these are often going off before you even buy them. Onions often soft and mouldy . Also the chorizo in the deli is covered in white mould. Prices are pretty expensive now they basically have a duopoly with woollies. They have been steadily raising prices well more than inflation for years.

Wont let you out of their store through the "automatic" gates at self serve… they visibly have a button attached to the staff at the checkout who press the button to let you out. You legally can’t detain people, and you definitely can’t call the gates automatic, when your staff are controlling them. You aren’t boarder control.
