Bunnings Mernda

Thanks so much to the older guy in the paint department today at Mernda. He was so extremely helpful and saved me a lot of time and effort choosing what I needed for the job. Exceptional, expert service. I will go during the day and during the week now as I have not had this kind of expert service at Bunnings for several years now. Thanks again, I really appreciated your help.

Visited opening time 3 days straight and the level of service was average. Asked where a certain product was and as I was in the general vicinity I was told by a middle aged Blonde woman it should be somewhere there as she just walked off. Groups of employees chatting about shifts they’re not happy with or general gossip. Also waiting past 7am to get in and seeing small groups again talking crap.

Ella went above and beyond to help me ). I was having trouble redeeming my flybuy points. Ella scanned my items multiple times, in an effort to help me and then worked through the issue to try and resolve it. Ella was so nice, calm and patient, smiling the whole time, her customer service skills are exemplary. Thanks Ella 😊

Disappointing customer service experience literally every single time I’m here, and after reading other reviews, it seems I’m not alone. I was purchasing the mystery bear boxes and was told I needed to either pay first or leave them at the counter, as I couldn’t carry them while shopping for other items. Fair enough so I paid and continued shopping. While putting the paid items into my bag, a staff member literally chased me down an isle snapped at me and said I couldn’t do that. I explained I had already paid, and when asked for the receipt, I advised it was also in my bag. The interaction was completely unnecessary and abrupt. Latest visit, I went to the register in the tool shop to ask for assistance with an item in a locked cabinet. Two girls were chatting, and when I asked for help, one simply turned her head to the left and told me "ask him, he’ll get it for you" he was literally standing RIGHT NEXT TO HER instead of assisting herself. The lack of basic courtesy and willingness to help was ridiculous. So I literally turned my head to the guy and was like she asked me to ask you to help me with an item. Like how ridiculous he even rolled his eyes lol Overall, the customer service is always poor and makes simple shopping trips uncomfortable

We had a great experience with Vanessa at Bunnings Mernda. We were looking to purchase a pool for our son, but unfortunately it wasn’t in stock at the Mernda store. Vanessa went above and beyond by ringing around other stores to locate one for us. Her customer service skills were exceptional — friendly, proactive, and genuinely helpful. Thanks to her efforts, we were able to get exactly what we needed.

I have say coming to bunnings on the weekend is a pleasure now as Martine in the garden section always helps my elderly mother get a trolley to assist her. Her knowledge of plants and her gardening advice is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble when assisting us. She is such a helpful and friendly lady and a credit to your organisation. Cheers Martine you make shopping at bunnings a joy!

This store discriminates against children with disabilities/autism. There is no leniency with kids trolleys. My child was having a meltdown down - he wanted to push the trolley to the disabled car park which is in sight - the staff were worried " we " would steal the trolley. Not only were passing customers watching my child scream, the staff " we cant let them leave the store" even though they could see my car - i even offered to leave my drivers license to bring it straight back. What a horrible experience, and the fact management rang, where Paula outlined " she wont allow it" we have saved the recording. This needs to go onto a current affair or the news, which ill reach out too. There concerns of theft even though i offered a solution was disgusting. They could have even walked to the car which was next to the door!!!!! You are not disability friendly, when you could see he had one.
