Beautiful food and Cafe! Loved the variety and uniqueness of the menu, will definitely come back to try the rest of it. Loved the chicken coop in the back! Went on a Sunday around 2pm and wasn't too busy. Plenty of different rooms and places to sit so can choose depending on your vibe

December 2025. Young staff here who are very attentive & pleasant. Sat out the back near the hen house & was advised may have to share our table - all good. Coffees were excellent, Farm Yard Bircher delicious & Breakfast Board very well received. As it got busier we were asked again could we share our table - appreciated & happy to do so although tables were pulled apart anyway. Small frontage but large space with plenty of different sections. Highly recommended. Will return.

Had a wonderful brekky at Brother Hen while in Melbourne on holiday. We got coffee, hot chocolate, ricotta hotcakes and smashed avocado toast and everything tasted fantastic. Everything was reasonably priced for what we received and would definitely recommend it as a casual spot for a good meal!

Tried the smoked salmon and Mexican-style smashed avo from the specials menu at Brother Hens — and it was just amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a fresh, flavour-packed brunch option!

Stopped by for a late lunch and had the smoked salmon Benny and a banana smoothie. The presentation is fantastic and the food is even better. Service was also stellar. We will be back!

Such a lovely brunch! The food came with bigger portions than I expected, and the sauce was really tasty and well made. The coffee was smooth and matched perfectly with the milk. Everything was delicious, and I really enjoyed the whole meal. There’s also a small chicken farm and outdoor tables, which makes it a great spot for families to relax and eat together. I’d love to come back again soon!

Came here for a weekday lunch. Cute little back area with a chicken coop to sit at. Good coffee, smokey burger and balanced flavoured Parma. Nice little spot to come to for a quiet meal outdoors as the weather continues to warm! Parking could be tricky in the area.
