Seems to be an institution that has stood the test of time. Old school chinese restaurant that has efficient and quick service with a menu where you will end up finding something you like. Love the fact that they still do free prawn crackers for the table.
This place is ok but beware no AMEX. Website says amex is taken the front door has a million amex stickers and says card welcome. Then when you go to pay you get roused on "no no no we no take dis one" dont bother with a tax invoice either coz youll get A stamp on over the top of scribble that you cant make out. It all turned sour at the till!!
Old school local Chinese restaurant like they were 40 odd years ago.But their dim sims are well above average and the cooked dishes are large in size, pretty and very tasty. Singapore noodles were 10/10 Fried rice is 9/10 but It has been better on a previous visit. The website ordering process is unusual and certainly very clunky to use. The Omar is guardedly friendly , I assume the son who is always there is a star ! This place is my new goto , I drive past 4 lesser establishments to get there . Price is good for 2025 as the seres are generous !
We are from geelong, our son lives in wollert and told us how good is your food so we all went for a meal and wow it was the best Chinese food ever, friendly staff, great prices, loved it we will be back
Chow Garden Chinese – Stingy and Unimpressive We spent $100 here and apparently that still isn’t enough to earn a bag of prawn crackers. Must be saving them for VIP customers. For the money, you’d expect at least a token gesture of goodwill, but nope, nothing. It screams penny pinching and leaves a bad taste before you’ve even opened the containers. The food itself was nothing special, and the stingy approach overshadows everything. Honestly, plenty of other places give you better food and treat you like they actually want your business.
Got take away but was excellent and incredible well priced. So much food we where eating for days.
Great food and great service, dishes are awesome. Strongly recommend Chow Garden if you want some quality Chinese food with family and friends.
