Draftee were fast, efficient and extremely helpful. Any questions or concerns I had were explained promptly allowing a friendly, stress free line of communication with staff directly and I would recommend Draftee to anybody looking to obtain building approvals in the future.

Our experience with this company has been extremely disappointing. They have caused significant delays to multiple client projects, and communication throughout has been poor. Each stage has taken far longer than promised, with delays consistently attributed to "internal processes." We’re now considering escalating this matter further due to the impact these delays have had on our clients and business timelines. I’d strongly recommend doing thorough due diligence before engaging them - there are far more efficient and reliable draftsmen available. Update on the responses below: I’ve lodged a formal complaint with CAV, as what they’ve provided so far amounts to excuses. I have a detailed record of issues, particularly with the project where the plans were collected months late and the entire house was drawn incorrectly — each room was out by one metre. This error set us back four months, forcing us to return to square one and redo the plans. I also had to engage external consultants to check their work. We began with them in December 2024, and even now we’re still waiting on CAD files for our engineer, with no updates provided in the past two weeks.

I worked with Brian, April and the team on drafting work on a deck extension and pergola installation. They were very professional in all their communications, and the final working drawings were excellent. I can highly recommend them to provide excellent quality work that makes the process stress free.

Dealt with April and Brian throughout the process of getting the working drawings prepared. Both were extremely punctual and communicative. Plans were detailed and they cooperated efficiently in creating the best possible plan in the fastest time frame possible! Draftee did a great job with making sure I obtained my building permit after the council kept requesting constant changes to the plan for a year! It was an exhaustive process but Brian and his team were so patient with every council request and continued to work through all the changes until the building permit was finally approved!
