Carine Regional Open Space

📍 Garden centers in Carine

9.1

Address is a well-maintained recreational park offering a diverse range of activities set within spacious, open areas. The flat terrain and structured amenities—such as cricket pitches, tennis courts, and a skate park—make it ideal for sports enthusiasts, while designated dog zones and a modern playground cater to families and pet owners alike. Walking paths, marked with precise measurements, extend beyond the park’s core, though their proximity to a busy road slightly detracts from the natural appeal.

Adjacent to the park, the Riding for Disabled Association adds an inclusive touch, with horses visible from select viewpoints. Accessibility is prioritized, featuring ample parking, all-weather facilities, and toilets near key areas. While the lake and open spaces exude tranquility, the park’s design balances functionality with community engagement, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Large open sport activity park. Mostly flat, well kept. Lake areas are lovely. Most of the walkable areas are unnatural or sport focused. Spaces include: • Walking paths that extend beyond the open space of the park. Most of the Open Space path is exposed to the sun, and near the busy road. Paths are marked with meter measurements. The path experience is quite boring next to the road and a missed opportunity to enjoy the natural environment of the park areas. • Several car parks and accessible parking spaces. Main one is accessible by the Beach road entrance. • Community building • Cricket pitches, and practice cages. • Tennis courts • Moderate skate park great for about a dozen people max. • Baseball / Softball field • Dog spaces with designated areas for both large and small dogs. Little to no turf because they are well used. Signage for dogs on leads throughout the park. • Moderately sized playground 🛝 with swings and slide. Relatively new! • Accessible toilets near playground and community centre. Adjacent the park, within the larger green space, is the Riding for Disabled Association. This includes a variety of horses in fields you can see from a few of the walkway areas.

Friendly people. Friendly dogs. Friendly birds (even the Swans with their baby Swanlings) Friendly Horses (if you were to hypothetically pat them gently without reading the "dont touch sign). Oh, and even friendlier dogs. Be sensible - it is a dog park. If you have a picnic on the grass, expect to get greeted/robbed by friendly dogs).

This expansive park is a local gem. It features a serene lake surrounded by walking trails, a dedicated dog exercise area, and multiple sports fields for football and soccer. The BBQ facilities are well-maintained, making it perfect for weekend gatherings. While it doesn’t have a skate park, the natural beauty and variety of amenities make it a top pick for families and dog lovers alike.

Great enclosure for dogs. Running freely with their playmates. Also good gates with protection gate. Plenty of shade & seating Sand pit and (green) grassed area, a big dog & small dog enclosures. Plenty of bins and toilet bags. City of Stirling did a great job, pity there isnt one at Lake Gwelup. 😢

Plenty of football and soccer pitch but no spectator chair and not much shade if you wanna be close to the pitch. Bring your own camping chair and umbrella to shield from the hot sun.

Beautiful park; well used by runners, cyclists and walkers alike. Lots of people walking their dogs. The dogs seem very well behaved and the owners seem to always pick up their excrement. My whānau walk this park regularly to get our 10k steps for the day. Beautiful environment 👌🏽 ☺️

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia Tour and after a donation in the local area, I came to this lovely open space for a quick jog around the swampland, only takes about 30 minutes. Nice paths and lots of other people walking around with their dogs, etc.
